Fall Clean-up

At the Club's annual fall clean-up, we hosted a Diving In event, where scuba divers clean up the ocean floor..."The Art of Cleaning Lakes and Oceans". HSC provided three Coach boats with operators and spotters for the divers. The end result was 170.3lbs of trash removed from the water. Thanks to Diving In: The Art of Cleaning Lakes and Oceans (DIACLO), for cleaning up the ocean between the 14th Street Fishing Pier and John Lawson Pier.

Thanks to Ocean Ambassadors for their shore line exploration walks, the Return-It recycling folks and Tire Stewardship BC for being there.

Thank-you to the sixty-six volunteers who came out on a rainy Sunday to make the clean-up a success.

HSC provided coffee and lunch to the volunteers. (and it did not rain much!!!)...And the club ended up looking pretty good too.
