It’s never too late to learn.
What do participants need?
Every sailor will need to bring a lifejacket (Personal Flotation Device) that fits, shoes with closed toes, clothing that can get wet, sun protection, and their own food/water. Students should be comfortable in the water and be able to swim.
What time do lessons run?
Adult lessons run from 9 am to 4 pm, Saturday and Sunday.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made more than two weeks before the course start date will get a full refund (less a $35 administration fee). Any cancellations within two weeks of the start date will not be refunded. To cancel out of a current sailing session, please email the director at programdirector@hollyburnsailingclub.ca
Intro
CANSail 1
A fun and practical intro to sailing for first-time sailors. Learning focuses on safety at sea, basic sailing and nautical skills, and of course FUN! No sailing experience required. Successful completion earns CanSail 1.
Two-day, weekend sessions starting in June.

Intermediate
CANSail 2
This course builds on the sailing skills and knowledge gained in CanSail 1. A great course for returning sailors who want to refresh their skills as well as newer sailors who want to further develop their sailing ability. Successful completion earns CanSail 2.

Prerequisites: Completion of CanSail 1, or equivalent sailing ability.

Private Lessons
Learn how to sail at your own pace. Private lessons are tailored to you and can accommodate up to four people in total.
We work with you to find the ideal time for you to learn how to be comfortable and confident on the water.
