New SUP and Kayak racks arrive.

New Kayak rack to the North (port) and New 1/2 SUP rack to the South (starboard)

Our Rear Commodore is happy to report that work progresses well in the East Yard regarding new storage spaces for SUPs, kayaks and surfskis.

New 8-slot SUP rack

We have removed 2 bays from the large wooden Laser rack and installed a new 8-slot SUP rack next to the existing large 20-slot rack.   Our Rear Commodore will be working with membership to assign spots in the new rack to individuals on the waiting list.

New Kayak rack in temporary location.

Next step will be to remove the small wooden Laser rack and replace it with our new kayak rack.   This will give us 10 more slots to offer to members for kayaks and surfskis as well as some SUPs that do not work in the new SUP rack.   The new kayak rack will be installed sometime in the next couple of weeks.

Big thanks to member Andy and his brother David (maker of the rack) and all of our members who volunteered their time and effort to make this rack installation happen.

Assembly was easier than an IKEA kit.

Thanks to our assembly crew.

The plan is to eventually have all of the lasers on dollies (visible in the background of the photos) out of the way and into racks so that members can easily access the newly-fixed South gate onto the beach.

Thanks to Sue Lumb and Mike Bretner for the photos.
