HSC Member David Pyron will Run 4 Seminars on Racing

Session 1, Monday, March 28:   Basic rules for beginners

Session 2, Monday, April 4:  Where are all the rules and tools to understand them

Session 3, Monday, April 25:  Basic rules for beginners

Session 4, Monday, May 2:   Starting and at the Mark

David Pyron is an International Umpire and Umpire Instructor for World Sailing and holds National Umpire and Judge certifications with US Sailing (working to get Sail Canada!) He currently chairs the US Sailing Umpire Committee. He has officiated several Grade 1 Match Races and was Chief Umpire at the 2015 Team Race World Championship. He joined the club in 2021 and looks forward to greatly improving his dinghy sailing and sharing a few dark and stormys on the deck! He admits his goatee is a bit grayer now than in the photo above, taken while sailing on the 1D spoofboat “catfish.”
