Wooden Boat Show a great success!
Message from our Vice Commodore Trevor:
All
A big thank you to everyone who turned up today to volunteer and help make the HSC Wooden Boat Show a great success, as always.
The weather gods gave us a great sunny day with a wind to keep it tolerable despite the high temperature.
The music was fantastic, both the Ukulele guys and the Shanty singers made the atmosphere come alive and provided lots of sing along songs. (Thank-you to our musical guests, The Uke group of Chris Haley, Ed Cooke and Steve Britten, and The Lazy Jacks, Allison CAmpbe3ll, Betty McBurney, Steve Deering, Rick Pollay, Pat Howard and Ian Edwards ……Ed.)
The Hot Dogs were tasty and really popular, as always, and the kids boatbuilding looked to be lots of fun with 30+ kids started on their careers as future shipwrights.
Thanks also to the Adult sailing lesson students and coach for demonstrating the sail training activities of our club.
It was also really great to meet up with lots of past and present club members who we haven't seen for the past couple of covid years.
Thanks to all of you.
Trevor
