Club Cleaned

On a cloudy, sometimes rainy Saturday, members came out for the Annual Clean-Up Day.

Our list of tasks, set by TASKMASTER Trevor was extensive! Members began to pitch in before 9am!..Have a look:

Beginning of Clean-Up Day. Commodore Cameron and member Matt admire East Yard Paving repair. One of our jobs will be to put the mast rack and dollies back in this space.

Inside, members begin to clean the kitchen and windows.

Coop Paddling Captain Batya prints new labels for the Coop sign-out system.

One of the most needed jobs is to powerwash the ramp…thanks to member David.

A huge job was to sort out the storage closet…thanks to Mel…

and to Terry. Perhaps the biggest job today!

Executive members Jennifer (Safety Officer) and Leni (Rear Commodore) discuss ground maintenance now that the East Yard has been repaired.

The paint is given a touch-up.

Our race team members lend a hand cleaning some sails from the Alley.

Fleet Captain Travis (those are his feet) grinds off some wires sticking out of one of the concrete poles on the beach side of the fence. We found them when the East yard paving was being repaired. We do not want to see anyone get hurt in front of the club.

All of the sandbags at the club have been emptied and stored away in case we need them again.

While they were rigging, the Race Team cleaned more sails from the Alley.

Thanks to the race team for helping us out before they went out training.

The Coop sailboat covers get a scrubbing too.

Commodore Cameron and Rear Commodore Leni are pleased with the results of Clean-up.

We also got the downspouts repaired.

No photos, but, the BBQ was cleaned, the Alley was cleaned and the bell was polished!
