King Tide, high winds and storm surge Clean-up

South wall of clubhouse stove in.

Hello Members,

On Friday morning, January 7th, 2022, a 16.1 foot King Tide with strong SW winds and a storm surge flooded our compound and damaged our clubhouse.

Commodore Cameron is calling all members to come out to a clean-up repair day, Saturday, January 15th, starting at 9am.

Fortunately, the main structure of the clubhouse is not damaged. Damage is restricted to the Alley and the Forward Deck.

West side of compound

We will be adjusting/fixing all of the posts holding up the deck, cleaning out the alley, reinstalling the South Alley wall and removing all of the sand deposited into the compound.

Undercutting of South fence, East side of the compound and damage to Alley

We are still considering how to repair the undercutting of the blacktop and fence in the South side of the East compound.  We may need to hire a contractor to do these repairs.

The damage to the alley. We have moved most of the stuff to safer places in the clubhouse.

Please bring shovels, wheelbarrows and brooms for the sand clean-up. Hammers, levels and prybars will be helpful for the alley repairs.

Thank you and see you there
