At Sentinel Secondary School, The Boys Club organized a Walkathon for June 1st to raise awareness for the Syrian Refugee Crisis. The Boys Club Network walked past the Hollyburn Sailing Club, from the Ambleside Youth Centre to John Lawson Park and back, covering a distance of 5 km. The purpose is to raise awareness for this cause and to donate any proceeds to the Radcliffe Foundation in order to support the Syrian Refugee crisis. Some of the Sentinel Boys Club members were wearing lifejackets loaned to them by the Hollyburn Sailing Club to raise awareness that most of the Syrian Refugees travelling from Turkey to Lesbos do not have proper floatation devices.
