‘Round Bowen Paddle

Calling all Paddlers!!! The ‘Round Bowen Island Paddle is happening on June 28, 2020.

Last year the HSC Paddlers launched kayaks at 7 am in Whitecliff Park and returned to Whitecliff at 4.30 pm. Net paddling time was 4 hours 40 minutes, with two picnics on the way: Tunstall Bay and Finistere Island.

HSC Kayakers social distance by going to the Jericho Sailing Centre for lunch.

On June 14th, 2020 intrepid HSC Kayakers, lead by Kayak Captain Maciej, paddled from HSC to the Jericho Sailing Centre for lunch.

Hello paddlers —- with the recent opening of the yard and Co-op facilities at the club it’s time for a Kayak Re-entry Clinic!

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS WILL BE IN FORCE.

Sunday 7th

Meet at 10:00AM, launch at 10:30AM.

Paddle to Dundarave as a warm-up, then practice re-entry
skills for approximately one hour.

Wear a wet suit if you have one.

Remember to observe social distancing, and to disinfect any
club equipment that you use.
