Dear Members:

Here’s an update on changes coming up as our weather finally improves and the high season begins.

Training Program is Starting.
We are happy to report that our junior and adult sail training programs begin today. Members can use their boats, co-op boats and the club grounds as usual.

However, to accommodate physical distancing and the need for outdoor classroom space, pop-up tents will occupy some of the yard.
Please be aware that between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday to Friday, the club grounds may be more difficult to navigate.

The upstairs washrooms are now open for Member Use Only
The downstairs washrooms will be used only by the training program (Adults and Juniors) for July and August.  Please use hand sanitizer before using the facilities.

Please do not leave personal belongings in the washroom or anywhere in the clubhouse. All showers are closed.

Mandatory Sign-in for Contact Tracing
All members must sign in. It is mandatory for everyone on site (i.e. all family members) to be listed.
The sign-in book is located inside the upstairs door. Our safe operating plan for COVID-19 relies on our ability to perform contact tracing should any issue arise.
Co-op users must also sign out their equipment and therefore need to sign into the general membership sign-in and the co-op equipment loan book.

Upper Deck and Clubhouse
The upstairs clubhouse remains closed.  We are not able to guarantee adherence to a safe operating plan as required by the Provincial Health Officer unless the facility is continuously staffed which adds workload to our volunteer staff and cost to the membership.  The Officers discussed and made the decision to support outdoor water-based activities over non-water activities.

As always, please self-screen according to this poster’s instructions before entering the club yard.

Thanks again for your cooperation in following directional and other COVID-19 signage on the club grounds.

Enjoy the summer weather (finally!)

Best regards

Jennifer Parkinson-Dow
